In 1974, at the age of 30, Herb McCullough moved to Nashville from Winter Haven, Florida and started writing songs. In 1978 he signed his first exclusive songwriter publishing agreement. Since then his songs have been included on over 100 recordings by a variety of artists including Shawn Camp, John Anderson, Diamond Rio, Mark Chesnutt, Toni Price, Marie Osmond, Hal Ketchum, The Del McCoury Band, David Schnaufer and Cyndi Lauper.
