Allen Reynolds is a songwriter. He's written three of my favorite songs... Dreaming My Dreams with You, Ready for the Times to Get Better and Fellow Travelers. His song, Five O'clock World, was a pop hit when recorded by the Vogues in 1965, a country hit by Hal Ketchum in 1995 and was used as the opening theme for the Drew Cary TV Show in 1998. The list of artists who have recorded Allen's songs includes Jerry Garcia, Lefty Frizzell, Allison Krauss, Joe Sun, Crystal Gayle, Don Williams, Cowboy Junkies, Waylon Jennings, Doc Watson and many, many more. herballen_small.jpg (3808 bytes)

Allen Reynolds is also a record producer. He's worked with Dickey Lee, Bobby Bare, Emmylou Harris, Don Williams, Kathy Mattea, Crystal Gale, Ruby Lovett, Shawn Camp and Garth Brooks… in fact Allen has produced all of Garth's records with the exception of the movie version of Make You Feel My Love. (He did not produce Chris Gaines.)

(Allen Reynolds was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Association International Hall of Fame on October 1, 2000.)
